The Comprehensive System reacts against the assassination of leaders and ex-combatants

The Commission for the Clarification of the Truth, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace and the Missing Persons Search Unit categorically repudiate the continued killing of social leaders and former FARC combatants. Today, more than ever, the whole of Colombia must defend the value of human life and persevere in building peace. The leaders and ex-combatants need to be protected by the State and by Colombian society, the vast majority of whom want to end the armed conflict.
The joint declaration leading the directives of the three components of the Comprehensive System: Patricia Linares, Luz Marina Monzón and Father Francisco de Roux was published on July 1, 2020 on the Truth Commission’s Youtube channel.
