Research presentation at the International Peace Day at Universidad de Caldas
CAPAZ partner, Universidad de Caldas and its Department of Human Development will present a research project funded by the Institute in its 2020-2021 call for proposals. The study is called “Resilient communities, builders of peace in the villages of Puerto Torres, Portal La Mono and Agua Bonita in the Department of Caquetá” and was coordinated by Professor Sandra Vallejo.
The presentation will take place as part of the International Peace Day celebration at the University. The celebration is also intended to socialize the results of the research. These will be discussed by faculty students, project coordinators, and CAPAZ scientific collaborator, Vanessa Giraldo, who will draw a number of conclusions.
Reflections on the results and the research process will revolve around questions such as: How was the experience shaped based on the recognition of the trajectories of the different actors? What are the most significant lessons learned? Why do these initiatives contribute to territorial peacebuilding? What are the impacts of these peacebuilding practices?
The event will be held on September 21 on-site, and will also be broadcast live on here. The presentation of the project and the subsequent discussion will take place in the morning, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
