Activists and researchers Angélica Patricia Peña Cubillos, Cindy Lorena Lote Rayo, Edna Yiced Martínez, and Myriam Alejandra Morales Albarracín co-edited the publication entitled: “Women of Nuquí working on economy for life. Outlook for the possible construction of the deep water port in the Gulf of Tribugá”.

“This document is part of the research project: Development for whom? Possible socio-economic effects of the construction of the Port of Tribugá, perspectives of Afro-descendant women in the region. Formulated and executed by the Research Group Territorio Ancestralidad y Resistencia (GITAR), financed by CAPAZ, and co-financed by the Association Latin American Women’s Initiative in Neukölln (LAFI). The project is endorsed by Freie Universität Berlin, Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad Tecnológica del Chocó Diego Luis Córdoba (UTCH) and thanks to the support of the Asociación General de Consejos Comunitarios los Riscales, the Mayor’s Office of Nuquí, the Grupo Interinstitucional de Pesca Artesanal del Pacifico Norte (GIPAC), the Alianza Nuquí, local organizations and the Afro-descendant women of Nuquí”.
