THE PROTECTION OF LIFE BETWEEN PANDEMIC AND SECURITY IN THE LAST CHAPTER OF LA LUPA
This is the seventh chapter of La Lupa, one of the web series of CAPAZ’ Education and Science Diplomacy project.
On this occasion, Solveig Richter (Professor of International Relations and Transnational Politics at CAPAZ associate member Leipzig University, Germany) and Laura Camila Barrios (Graduate in Government and International Relations, Director of the Master’s in Conflict, Memory and Peace at the Universidad del Rosario) discuss the research they have been working on recently.
The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between security and health in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic. After observing that local actors in different rural communities in the country behaved in a very particular way in the face of the pandemic, the researchers wondered what these differences were due to and why their security situation was more critical than in urban contexts.
This video, like all the others in the Diplomacy project, has German subtitles and is already on the CAPAZ Youtube channel.
Much of the research was also described by the researchers in the opinion column that we published in El Espectador’s Colombia+20.
