“Peace, now more than ever”: CAPAZ web episodes on peace in times of COVID-19
CAPAZ will broadcast its first episode of its new web column: “La paz, ahora más que nunca” (Peace, now more than ever) on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, and it will continue to run one episode per week every Tuesdays.
The series invites experts to comment on how the peace process is coming along in Colombia, during the COVID-19 health emergency.
The series will be run through the CAPAZ Instagram account: @instituto_capaz
The special guest for the first episode is CAPAZ Director and Professor of Peace Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Stefan Peters, who will give us a brief overview of the implementation of the agreements before the pandemic and what the outlook is like in the current scenario. Stefan Peters will also speak to us about the importance of the international community continuing to support the country, even when the crisis is over.
At CAPAZ, we are convinced that we must continue to contribute to peacebuilding in Colombia through research and cooperation with academia, civil society, and governments. Now more than ever, we, together with international cooperation, must support peace.
We look forward to seeing you on our new Instagram accounts: @instituto_capaz and on the CAPAZ Channel on YouTube: Instituto CAPAZ.
