Juliana González Villamizar will be one of the guests on the LASA panel on gender, peace, and transitional justice in Colombia
The Latin American Studies Association (LASA) is the world’s largest professional association of individuals and institutions dedicated to the study of Latin America.
LASA will be hosting the panel on gender, peace, and transitional justice in Colombia, on Saturday, 29 May 2021 at 12:00 noon (Colombia time), with live webcast on the LASA web page.
CAPAZ Science Collaborator and PhD student at the Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Juliana González Villamizar will speak at the online meeting. Her intervention will deal with gender at the intersection, opportunities and challenges for a complex reading of the violence of the Colombian armed conflict in the country’s Truth Commission.
Juliana González will be joined by other researchers and PhD students from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, moderated by Prof. Pascha Bueno-Hansen, University of Delaware.
The panel is part of the online programme of the LASA 2021 Congress: “Global Crisis. Inequality and Centrality of Life”, 26-29 May 2021.
