FU BERLIN WILL HOST PANEL ON THE RESEARCH IN GERMANY ABOUT COLOMBIA
The Institute for Latin American Studies (LAI) at the Freie Universität Berlin (FU), in collaboration with the German Federal Foreign Office (AA), invites to the panel “Colombia: Contributions of Latin American Studies Research to the Peace Process” (Kolumbien: Beiträge der Lateinamerikaforschung zum Friedenprozess).
The event will take place on Thursday, November 22, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in LAI Room 201 (Rüdesheimer Str. 54-56, 14197 Berlin. U-Bahnhof Breitenbachplatz- U3).
The panel will be the opportunity to present the current research about Colombia, developed by German researchers or researchers working at universities in Germany.
The event also aims to offer the possibility of exchanging on the central problems and perspectives around the peace process in Colombia, from the research developed by the panelists.
Mrs. Heidrum Tempel, Director for Research and Academic Relations Policy and Cultural Relations Policy at the Federal Foreign Office will give the welcome note. Prof. Dr. Marianne Braig (FU Berlin) will be Chair of the panel.
Prof. Dr. Stefan Peters will participate as representative of the German-Colombian Peace Institut – CAPAZ. Researchers from universities in cities such as Marburg, Freiburg, Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, as well as from research institutions such as the Science and Politics Foundation (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik); the German Institute of Global and Area Studies in Hamburg (GIGA); and the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF).
