Call for Second CAPAZ Congress for young researchers 2019
The German-Colombian Peace Institute – CAPAZ and Universidad de Antioquia (U. de A.) are calling for proposals to participate in the Second CAPAZ Congress for Young Researchers, which will take place on November 6 and 7, 2019 in Medellín, Colombia.
The call is addressed to Colombian students enrolled in master’s or doctoral programmes in CAPAZ partner universities and whose thesis projects are sufficiently advanced. The works must refer to a topic relevant to the peace process in Colombia and be focused on one of the following thematic axes:
- Transitional Justice and Human Rights
- Peacebuilding (Memory or Education)
- Peace, conflicts and territorial reconfigurations
Selection of participants
CAPAZ will select the participants of the Second Congress for Young Researchers. Those selected will have the opportunity to present their work at the congress and will receive comments from Colombian and international professors and experts in the thematic axes. Selected participants must submit their research proposal (exposé) and/or doctoral thesis advances no later than October 30, 2019.
Travel and accommodation expenses for selected persons whose place of residence in Colombia is different from the city in which the Congress will take place will be covered by the organisers of the event.

Deadline for applications: Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 23:59 hours (Colombian time)

Applications sent after this deadline or without the required documentation will not be considered.
