UIS Chair on Peace: Session 8 on the JEP will be streamed
The Chair for Peace, Coexistence and Citizenship at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) will hold its eighth session entitled, “Special Jurisdiction for Peace”on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
Carolina Rubio Sguerra, Territorial link for the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) for Santander (JEP) will be the guest speaker for this session. The social communicator from UNAB has a master’s degree in communication, development and social change.
This session will address the fundamental component of the Integral System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition, created as part of the Final Agreement between the Colombian State and the FARC-EP. To contribute to building sustainable peace, the JEP will be in charge of administering transitional justice and dealing with crimes committed in the context of the armed conflict, committed before December 1, 2016.
Following the institutional recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19, the eighth session of the chair will be held via streaming on the Facebook FanPage for the School of Human Sciences at UIS. The next sessions will also be held via this medium, until further notice:
