CAPAZ board of directors meets again in person after three years
The CAPAZ Board of Directors meeting took place on February 22nd and 23rd with all the representatives of each of the universities that are part of the CAPAZ consortium. The meeting was held at the newspaper library at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where we shared the management reports, presented the CAPAZ work topics, discussed future perspectives and enjoyed a pleasant time with German and Colombian colleagues.
Following the presentation of the participants and the welcoming remarks, CAPAZ Academic Director Stefan Peters presented the results of the CAPAZ 2021 – 2022 report and the projects implemented by CAPAZ with external funding. The meeting also included a networking session and a discussion on the role of associate members and decision on new applications. We also had the opportunity to discuss the lines of research and the topics on which CAPAZ staff is currently working with the members of the Board of Directors. Thus, using a symbolic object that represents the work of each of the areas, the CAPAZ science collaborators explained the topics on which they have been working during the past year, and their future projections.
Finally, in small working groups, we identified key issues for the third phase of the CAPAZ Institute, while refining networking strategies for the future.
