CAPAZ at the appointment of “peace monitors” in San Onofre, Sucre
On May 28th, the CAPAZ Academic Director attended an event in San Onofre, Sucre, where over 500 young people from the region were appointed Peace Monitors of the region. These young individuals will be responsible for spreading the message that there is a better way of living, with opportunities for studying and working, through the Safety and Coexistence Laboratory, as part of the Sucre Escucha strategy. This was reported by the El Sucreño newspaper in a press release.
Representatives from the Sucre Governorship; the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation; the Director-General of the National Police; and the Director of the Unit for the Implementation of the Final Peace Agreement; among others, attended the event. The governor emphasized the importance of “all young people in the department joining this initiative. This will keep them away from drugs, crime, and those illegal armed groups that want to recruit them”.
