CAPAZ at Día Paiz at Universidad de Los Andes
Universidad de los Andes will hold the fifth edition of Día Paiz on Tuesday, September 21. This is a day of reflection where students, professors, experts, actors of the conflict and interested public come together in events, discussions and presentations to think about peacebuilding in Colombia.
CAPAZ will be doubly present at this year’s Día Paiz. On the one hand, it has organized an open discussion in alliance with Caseroliando Podcast, on the relationship between social mobilization and peacebuilding. This will take place on September 21 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the University facilities (Room B202).
On the other hand, CAPAZ will have a stand at the seventh Peace Market to present the different productive initiatives proposed by victims and ex-combatants. There will be several CAPAZ publications available, and those interested will be able to ask questions about CAPAZ internships and request general information about the Institute.
Both events will be held on-site at the University (Alberto Lleras Camargo Building, Calle 19 a # 1-37). For admission as a guest visitor please fill out the following form: https://bit.ly/2Z2IC5T
This year, the event’s programme includes a particular interest in connecting the peace process with themes such as the environmental crisis, the construction of memory, and social mobilization. There will also be events to discuss the consequences of aerial spraying with glyphosate, the challenges of environmental protection, deforestation, analysis, or social issues such as the National Strike that took place this year in different Colombian cities.
