Trato hecho: Universidad de los Andes program designed to teach negotiation, conflict resolution, and restorative processes
Trato Hecho is a program that promotes research and learning in negotiation, conflict resolution, and restorative processes in organisations and the country. It is backed by a partnership between the School of Administration at the CAPAZ founding institution, Universidad de los Andes, and the Con-Ciencia Social Foundation.
Having researched the peace process with the FARC-EP and analysed how to design an instrument to identify how people negotiate, the team of professors and researchers realised that the road traveled provided useful knowledge for organisations in their day-to-day work. One of their conclusions is that it is key to train people with negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as to continue researching these topics in order to provide better responses to the challenges facing communities today.
