New episode! The Amazon in Eddy’s postcards
“Peace for life in the Amazon” is the third episode of the “Eddy’s postcards” podcast series. Defending good living, strengthening dialogue between ancestral and academic knowledge, and building community through audiovisuals. These are the difficult tasks Eddy is learning about in the Amazonian foothills of Caquetá, Colombia, with the help of Mercedes Mejía, an environmental peace advocate and researcher, and Fabio Valderrama, an audiovisual producer and director of the Mambe Festival. This dialogue awakens Eddy’s interest in realities such as deforestation, extensive cattle ranching, and environmental leadership. Thanks to the three sound postcards he has shared with us, both we and Eddy know a little more about resistance through music, the truths about what has happened to us as a society, and the contribution of cinema and the defence of the Amazon in the pursuit of peace. And in this third episode, about a little animal that has captivated Eddy.
