First webinar of the International Development Ethics Association congress
“Development in times of conflict: ethical pathways to peace and justice” is the title of the first event in 2021 to be held prior to the International Development Ethics Association (IDEA) Congress, which has been postponed to February 2022 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The online conference will be in Spanish, with simultaneous translation, and will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 9am. (Colombia time).
CAPAZ Administrative Director, Carlos Nupia, together with Karina Batthyány (CLACSO) and Lubín Torres (Corporación Investigación y Formación para la Transformación-IFT) will speak at the event chaired by Alexandra Alúdelo (POMOTE-Unaula).
Interested Spanish speakers can join the live webcast (no registration required), as well as watch the recording of the event on the IDEA 2022 Congress Youtube channel. Those who wish to do so, can also register via the Eventbrite link to watch it on the Zoom digital platform.
A link has been provided to access resources and texts of interest on the cross-cutting themes covered by the event, as well as another link to information that will guide the discussion of this first meeting.
In 2021, the IDEA Congress organisers have created a series of pre-conference webinars to foreshadow the debate on the central themes of the conference. The first conversation includes the debate with several panellists, in a discussion centred on peace in Colombia.
The IDEA Congress has been rescheduled for February 2022. The coordinators will announce a new date for the submission of papers in the near future.
