DW article on Venezuela with Stefan Peters and Jonas Wolff
The German channel Deutsche Welle reports on an analysis of the situation in Latin America from different angles. In the first instalment of the series, DW invited CAPAZ Academic Director Prof. Dr. Stefan Peters, and the researcher of the Peace Research Institute in Frankfurt (PRIF) and its spokesman at CAPAZ, Jonas Wolff.
The report: “Venezuela: is a military intervention to remove Maduro possible?” brings together several expert voices to talk about the statements made by the Venezuelan opponent Corina Machado about overthrowing Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela through an international military intervention.
Jonas Wolff indicated that we must remember that the regime in Venezuela is not only personified in Maduro; there are several actors involved. Prof. Dr. Peters, on the other hand, pointed out that removing Maduro from office would not necessarily mean the end of the regime.
