During the last two decades, Buenaventura has been the focus of national and international attention due to the increasing cycles of violence and the impacts on various population groups. In this context, the “Archive and Memory Process” has identified and managed information and documentation available to local organisations in the territory. Supporting this process can contribute to understanding the historical effects, damage and impacts on organisations in this part of the country, and at the same time, recognise the experiences of neighbourhood, community, and municipal re-existence.
The general objective of the project is to strengthen capacities for peace in a context like that of Buenaventura, through technical and academic support for local processes and practices of archive management developed by the Archive and Memory Process.
Specific objectives
– Contribute to the mapping, identification and management of information and documentation available to local organizations in Buenaventura from a training space as the seedbed of archives and memory.
– Contribute to the management of two local archives based on the seedbed of archives and memory
