CAPAZ discussion on social protest in Colombia’s regions
After more than 20 days of protests in Colombia, there is an urgent need to reflect on recent events. From the academic and university sphere, one of the contributions is the opportunity to create spaces for reflection and contextualization to promote dialogue and to envisage possible solutions for the future.
The CAPAZ online forum: “Regional paths of protest in Colombia”, will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. (Colombia time).
The event will be open to the public, and broadcast live on the CAPAZ YouTube channel.
Based on the characteristics of Colombia’s different regions, the discussion will offer a national perspective on the current social demonstrations unleashed at the end of April 2021 as a result of the Colombian government’s—currently suspended—initiative to implement a tax reform.
